Gwen John Art Prints

Gwen John was a Welsh artist who worked in France for most of her life producing portraits of anonymous female sitters. Her career was often overshadowed by her lover Auguste Rodin, a French sculptor who is generally considered the founder of modern sculpture. Her earlier paintings were produced in a more traditional manner but over timer her style developed as she used thicker paint applied in small mosaic like touches.
