Three Young Women in Hats, 1920's

Gerda Marie Fredrikke Gottlieb (1886-1940) was a Danish fashion illustrator and painter of lesbian erotica in the 1930s. Her marriage to fellow artist Einar Wegener (later Lili Elbe - one of the first-ever documented recipients of sex reassignment surgery) was the subject of the recent film The Danish Girl.
