What is a canvas effect finish?
The canvas finishing process involves the application of a textured film to the surface of the print under pressure. This gives the print the look and feel of canvas and is an alternative to glazing. We offer prints finished in this way 'box mounted'; a great contemporary finish for your artwork.
Canvas finishing cannot be used as a way of enlarging or shrinking images, rather, it is a treatment to the surface of the print. More on canvas finishing...
What is a giclee print?
A WorldGallery giclee print is a custom printed image created to your own specifications. Wherever you see 'giclee print' under an image or the 'size your own' icon appears a range of options are available to customise your artwork. Giclee prints are available on paper or canvas and can be printed to virtually any size you please! Superb quality inks and state of the art machines are used to ensure a perfect result every time.
Special Requests
Trade enquiries
Please contact us by email or call 0845 833 1945.
Copyright enquiries
We cannot give you permission to use the images on this site, for this you would need to contact the copyright holder of the image in question. We display the images on the website in order to facilitate the sale of royalty paid products. You can find out more about copyright issues from www.dacs.org.
Catalogues
We don't have a single, printed catalogue; our website is a combination of many large catalogues from art publishers and is the best way to see the range available. We sometimes send certain publisher catalogues to clients who are selecting a number of prints on a regular basis (ie. hospitals and large offices). Please give us a call on 020 7409 1554 (Mon-Fri 9.30am-6pm) if you are working on a large project and need help.
Artist Submissions
* We don't specialise in representing individual artists but you can list your work for free on our sister website www.atomgallery.com or pay a small fee and get your work seen buy millions at www.easyart.com/academy/. You can include contact details and images of your work on that site too. Another good option for selling artwork online is the artist gallery at www.apob.co.uk which features a good selection of originals by British artists.
Can you help me find out more information about an artist?
Many of the artists featured on the website have accompanying biographies, but for further information we recommend that you use an online encyclopedia such as www.xrefer.com or www.encarta.com. We can't help with your school project, you have to do it yourself!
Valuations
For help with valuations we recommend that you use a specialised service such as artprice.com

How will my order be packed?
Unframed prints and unframed canvas effect prints are rolled in sturdy cardboard tubes.
Framed pictures are sent in specially designed cardboard boxes or tough cardboard sleeves. We have very few problems with damage in transit.
What delivery methods do you use?
Unframed prints (including unframed canvas effect prints) are usually sent by first class Royal Mail or airmail. Framed prints are sent by UPS or Amtrack courier (depending on the size of the package).

If you are in a special hurry you can request special delivery at the checkout for an additional £2.95 to guarantee delivery before 12 noon on the day after dispatch.

How much do your prints cost in my local currency?
We display print prices in Euros and US Dollars under each thumbnail image on the website. To calculate prices in other currencies or for framed items use xe.com
What if I'm not in when my order arrives?
If you are not at home to receive an unframed print, the postman will probably take it back to the local depot and leave a card. You can then either call your local depot to rearrange delivery or go to depot to collect at your convenience. If you miss delivery of a framed print the delivery driver will leave a note and attempt delivery twice again. The note will also include a telephone number which you can call to arrange redelivery. We will email you upon despatch of your order so that you know when to expect it.
Returns
What if I want to return something?
In the unlikely event that a product arrives damaged, please contact us and we will provide an immediate replacement.
If you are unhappy with a product for any other reason you may return it up to 7 days after receiving it. We ask that you please contact us first by email and we will give instructions on how to repack the goods. Prints are easily damaged and must be returned in good condition and in their original packaging. If they are carefully repacked there is no reason why they should get damaged and we will be happy to refund the purchase price in full on receipt of the returned items.
