Utagawa Hiroshige I (1797-1858) was a Japanese ukiyo-e artist, considered the ultimate great master of the wood-block print tradition. His work conveys a deep sense of the human experience as well as using a poetic sense of the weather and landscape - mist, snow and rain. His delicate depictions of flora and fauna add to the beauty of his prints.
