These authentic engravings and etchings have been hand-produced using genuine steel or copper intaglio plates, some of which date from as far back as the eighteenth century. Each impression is crafted individually and entirely by hand, in the same manner as the copperplate printer of centuries ago. The coloured versions of these prints are then hand-coloured by skilled artists, to create an extremely high quality collector's item.

If choosing the print framed, please note that the prints carry the original engravers wording underneath. Although we can't show this on the site, the print will be framed to show this wording and the surrounding plate mark, which provides a natural border. The dimensions given are to the plate mark, not of the image alone.
