Rivera, Diego (1886- 1957),
was a Mexican mural painter who decorated many of that country's public buildings in monumental and revolutionary style. He worked in Paris in the early part of the 20th Century and also painted a mural at the Rockefeller Centre in New York which was obliterated because it contained a portrait of Lenin. He was married to fellow artist Frieda Kahlo. |
